Built to be trusted
on your business line.

You're handing us your phone, the front door to your business. Here's exactly how we treat what comes through it: plainly, and without the legalese. The full details live in our Privacy Policy.

Never sold
Not to advertisers. Not to anyone.

Recorded, transcribed, disclosed.

Every call is recorded and written down, and every caller hears, right at the start, that the call is being recorded and transcribed. No hidden recording, no surprise on the other end. The agent will not claim to be a person either: asked whether it is an AI, it says so. Audio is deleted on a rolling ~7-day cycle; the transcript is the record you keep. We never use recordings to create a voiceprint or to identify anyone by their voice.

Your callers' data is stored in the US.

Our servers sit in the United States, and that is where recordings, transcripts and account data stay. Files uploaded through a secure link go to storage we lock to North America. One step is different, and we would rather name it than let you assume it: the AI model that reads a call runs at providers who are US companies, held by their terms to not train on your data or keep it, but they operate datacenters in more than one country and none of them publishes which one handled a given request. So we do not claim a location for that step. The Service is built for US businesses and their US callers.

Yours while you stay. Deleted when you go.

Audio recordings age out on a rolling ~7-day cycle. Transcripts and call data stay available for the life of your account (they are your business records) and are deleted within 14 days when you cancel. The narrow exceptions: consent and opt-out records (including consent recordings) we keep for legal compliance and defense, and anything the law requires us to hold. Ask us to delete a specific record sooner and we will, within technical and legal limits. Where a provider supports zero-retention, we turn it on.

We collect only what the call needs.

A name, a number, the appointment, the question. Your AI is set up to ask only for what the job needs, and for documents or sensitive files there's a secure upload link instead of the phone. Calls are recorded and transcribed in full, so we're straight with you: one narrow automatic filter removes the payment card, Social Security, and bank account numbers it can recognize before storage, nothing else is filtered or redacted from what a caller chooses to say out loud, and you configure the intake to keep sensitive details off the call. We don't build advertising profiles or hoard data we have no use for. Less data collected is less data at risk.

We never sell your data, and you stay in control.

We don't sell or share your data or your callers' data. You, the business, are the data controller; we're the processor working on your behalf, and we help you answer any access or deletion request a caller makes. In ordinary US-only operation we do not process EU- or UK-origin data; if we ever agree in writing to, we would put the Standard Contractual Clauses in place first.

Our promise

Your data does not follow us abroad.

If we ever expand to serve businesses in other countries, your data doesn't move with us. Our servers stay in the US, uploaded files stay in the North American storage described above, and we do not offshore either one. The exception is the AI step described above, where we state no location because our providers publish none. (Our small team administers the Service under strictly limited, need-to-know access from wherever we work; the data itself stays put.) If any of that has to change, we will tell you first.

The honest part: no system is unbreakable, and anyone who tells you theirs is should worry you. What we can promise is that we use reasonable, layered safeguards, hold as little as we can, keep your records on our US servers exactly as described above, and treat your callers' data like it's our own. If you ever have a question we haven't answered here, write to privacy@firstaiemployee.com.
